Fifty-five ceramic torsos

10x5.5x4.25 inches each

Statement

The power of protests is in their long-term effects, on both the protesters themselves and the rest of society. The Voting Rights Act was signed into law 55 years ago because of sustained peaceful protests by African Americans. The ADA enacted in1990 was due to the 504 Sit-in by 100 disabled protestors. Women’s Marches empowered women to support each other. Kamala Harris is now our first woman Vice President.
